Dorothy was right: There's no place like home!
Mom's gear is packed up, the catheter is out (yuck/yeah), the IV is out (wahoo!), the home theater we set up in Mom's hospital room has been dismantled and Mom is now lying comfortably on her OWN bed with her OWN down comforter, using her OWN bathroom, eating her OWN food and surrounded by her OWN stuff.
While we loved most of the hospital staff (especially her nurse Taylor), we HATED being in the hospital. We're convinced that given the chance, these hospitals will KILL you. (And we had the deluxe suite!) It's almost like they're in some kind of conspiracy to keep you from sleeping! When they're not coming in at all times of the night to wake you up and poke you, their alarms are going off and waking you up.
Now to keep her home.
