Mom has had a great day. She has been our walkin' mama today. She made her first trip with a walker, then followed it up with two more trips without her walker, dragging her oxygen around. She felt her leg muscles complain as she has been off of them for so long, and she couldn't depend on the balance that the walker provides. But she has walked all around the circle of the nurses station and has survived. She has eaten well for every meal and all her stats are under control. She got a glorious shower this morning and Jann (who kindly stayed with her all night) curled her hair and she got a little R&R.
They have a room available for her tomorrow in TCC (Transition Care Center, or Rehab) and her doctors feel like they might approve for her to go, but she may not qualify because she is doing so well...so she may go home sooner than we think! Yea, home for Christmas!!
